Where 3D printing is as easy as Pi
Looking for opportunities, partnerships, or fresh ideas in additive manufacturing? I’d love to hear from you.
Dr. Aaron Nicholson is a chemist and additive manufacturing specialist with a background that bridges advanced research and real-world applications. He earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Transylvania University in 2015 before pursuing graduate studies at the University of Arkansas, where he completed a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry.
During his doctoral research, Dr. Nicholson focused on fundamental studies of circular redox-magnetohydrodynamic flow for separations, combining deep expertise in chemistry, fluid dynamics, and analytical techniques to push the boundaries of separation science.
Building on this foundation, Dr. Nicholson transitioned into the field of 3D printing and additive manufacturing, applying his analytical skills to solve practical challenges in prototyping, materials, and manufacturing processes. In 2023, he founded 3D Pi Prints, a business serving Northwest Arkansas with high-quality 3D printing and prototyping services. His work emphasizes taking cutting-edge research concepts and translating them into scalable, real-world applications that advance industrial innovation. Today, Dr. Nicholson continues to combine their deep chemistry background with hands-on additive manufacturing experience, helping organizations understand how to move “Beyond the Mold” and unlock the full potential of 3D printing in practical, scalable ways.
